Christmas Eve at Grandma Shoemakers


Opening 1 present on Christmas eve...


...of course it was new jammies and slippers!


Santa brought us lots of presents!

Trevan loved his remote control dinosaur...
his favorite word now is "ROAR!"
(example...Trevan do you want a sandwich?
Trevan answers "Roar"...Trev, you okay? he answers "Roar!")
It is pretty fun to have a dinosaur in the house!


Tanna is happy with anything Tinkerbell...
and boy did she get a ton of Tinkerbell stuff!


Taylee loved her Ariel jammies and all her kitty stuff!
She especially loved her Nintendo DS!


Tia was happy with all her toys!
(and everyone elses too!)


Tanna, Taylee and all the cousins put together a program
of Christmas songs (chimes and piano) and stories at
Grammy's house! They even had us do an opening and
closing prayer! (pretty funny!) It was a special night!

(except Tabby and Gavin who were stuck
in Cedar City, Landon was sleeping, Ryker and Tayson were
home sick and the bigger boys that were out sledding...
so I guess I shouldn't have said all the cousins...oops!)

Tia exausted after all the Christmas Fun!
It was a fun and busy Holiday season...with all the parties,
sledding, snowboarding, skiing, movies, junk food and
late nights... it is actually going to be kind of nice to be
back to school and a schedule...but we will miss our families
and will look forward to the next holiday event!

First Snow Fall!

We were so excited to get some snow! We just didn't know
that it wasn't going to stop...storm after storm after storm....
We had an amazing white Christmas!

The Santa Cause

The Santa Cause Night was at the Galavant Center
down town Salt Lake City...
We went ice-skating outside.
It was a blast!
It was neat to be a part of a wonderful cause and donate
money to needy families for food, clothing,
and gifts for Christmas!


Tim was the MC for the whole night and ran the auction...
he ended up bidding and somehow winning this snowboard!
Merry Christmas to Daddy!

TEMPLE SQUARE!

It was a perfect night to see the lights
at Temple Square... cold, but not too cold!


Taylee, Trevan, and Tanna got warm by running back
and forth on that flat grassy area between the
fountain and the reflection pond...
they had so much fun!

you can tell they are loving to be
outside and able to run crazy!

Tanna is Riding a Bike

All summer long, one by one, all the neighbor kids
began to learn to ride their bikes. We asked Tanna
if she wanted to learn and she always said
"nope, not yet!"


With the crazy weather... a warm December 6th, Tanna
said she was ready to try and ride her bike...
and she DID!! Awesome!

SINTERKLAUS!

Sinterklaus came to our house
and filled our Dutch shoes with all sorts
of yummy treats and chocolates...


Tanna loved this Dutch chocolate coin!


Nope, Trevan isn't excited that Sinterklaus came...
he's just smelling his chocolate!


Taylee loved how this chocolate
coin reflected and shined (in our eyes)

By the look on our faces (silly Taylee) you can tell we
love chocolate!!...Thanks Sinterklaus!

Thanksgiving 2008

Taylee had her Kindergarten Thanksgiving program
the morning we left for Las Vegas.
She was a darling Pilgrim!
(her hat kept falling off but she didn't get frustrated)


We made it to Las Vegas, stuffed our faces
and then went to go see Jordan play in a soccer tournament...
Trevan loved riding in the car with his cousins
Justin and Colby.


We swam in Chris and Shauna's pool every night
in 68 degree weather...warm for us Utah people,
pretty cold for the Vegas dwellers.
Tanna loved it!


Taylee is such a fish...she was always the first one in
and the last one out of the pool!


Tanna, cousin Tabby, and Taylee at the mall...
(the day after Thanksgiving and it was CRAZY!)

Coldplay Concert

We loved this night! good food,
great friends and an amazing concert!

Tim and I decided this was the
BEST concert we have seen to date...

Tia's 1st Birthday!

Tia is 1! (I can't believe it...time flies!)

We had our neighbors over for pizza and cupcakes...

Tia loved the frosting and the cake but when

she got sick of it...she pushed it off her tray! The kids all screamed

and laughed and it kind of frightened Tia...but it was hillarious!

It was a fun and crazy night but we always

enjoy being with our awesome neighbors!

Reflections 2008

"WOW"

Tanna won the reflections contest in her division

The theme was "Wow"...
Tanna wanted to paint a picture of a sunset...
because she said she always says "wow"

when she sees a pretty sunset...so this is her picture of a

sunset with her friends and nature! She was so excited to win!

She got a trophy (that she was the most thrilled with),

certificate, and a picture in the local newspaper.

Taylee took honorable mention and got a ribbon

(which she thought was the neatest thing)

for her picture of a rainbow with her sisters and brother!

but we survived and he is totally fine!

It was a fun night! We had dinner...

(I tried a new recipe...White Chicken Chili...way good!)

Grandma Shoemaker gave Tanna a gross gummy hand,

Taylee got a scary gummy spider and Trevan

was way excited about his creepy gummy rat...YUCK!

Frosted Cookies! Trevan loved the frosting!
